A reminder for anyone in the messy middle. Like yoga, every journey starts with energy, hits a wobble, and ends in calm. Growth happens in that upside-down space — awkward, challenging, but always transformative

At the start of a yoga class, everything feels exciting. You roll out your mat, settle your breath, and think: This is going to be great. Just like the beginning of any new project or venture, there’s energy, focus, and optimism.
Then comes the middle. The poses intensify and suddenly... Śīrṣāsana (headstand). Your arms shake, the floor feels very far away, and your inner monologue is anything but Zen. (Why on earth is the teacher making me do this?) This is the messy middle: uncomfortable, frustrating, and the part where you wonder if quitting might actually be the better idea. .But you breathe. You wobble, maybe even topple, and then try again. And in that process, you stretch further than you thought you could.
That’s where growth hides; upside down, a little awkward, but transformative. And finally… Shavasana. You melt into the mat, the struggle fades, calm returns, and perspective comes. The middle wasn’t punishment; it was the bridge to strength, clarity, and resilience.
Life, business, yoga, it actually all follows the same rhythm: the hopeful beginning, the difficult middle, and the calm release at the end.So when you find yourself upside down in the “headstand” phase of your project or life, take a breath, laugh at the wobble, and remember: shavasana always comes.
